Paying for the work. There are several choices: See payment.html
- Shipping. You pay for shipping to and from Alta Vista Audio. The total length of time you will be without your component is dependent on the shipping method you choose. I usually ship by UPS, but can also offer return shipping with Federal Express or DHL at additional cost.
Packing the component. To survive the rigors of shipping, pack your product adequately. See my shipping guidelines.
- Shipping Insurance. Be certain to obtain insurance for the component. Most carriers offer only a minimal amount of insurance (like $100) unless your purchase more. Specify an amount sufficient to cover the replacement cost of the component in the event it is damaged or lost, and remember that if the freight carrier judges the packaging to be inadequate, they may deny the damage claim.
- Turnaround time. For most upgrades, normal turnaround time at Alta Vista Audio is two week after I receive the parts. It generally takes me two to three weeks to receive the parts after I get your order. If the workload is heavy, you might experience a delay, so if timely turnaround is important to you, contact me ahead of time so I can assure that we can attend to your component in a timely fashion. Some upgrades, such as the NP100 and NP220 conversions, are done on a "batch" basis, where I do 10 to 20 units at a time at certain times of the year. Contact me for current scheduling.
- Warranty. I offer a three-year limited warranty on most upgrades, and a five-year limited warranty on selected upgrades.
Pricing and specifications are subject to change. Check with me if you need an update.
Sales tax. California residents are subject to applicable sales tax.
