5-Year Upgrade Warranty

Alta Vista Audio L.L.C. ("AVA") warrants the materials used and workmanship provided for upgrades to be free of defects for a period of five years from the date of sale, with the exception of vacuum tubes, which are warrantied for 90 days.

AVA will inspect the base product provided by the customer (or from the third party from whom the customer has purchased the product) and warrants it to be free of defects other than cosmetic for a period of 90 days from the date the unit is shipped to the customer after receiving upgrades.

This warranty expressly limits AVA liability to the repair or replacement of any defective parts, as well as return shipping from Alta Vista Audio to the customer with the carrier and method of our choice to any address within the continental United States, and is the sole remedy of the warranty.

If the product fails during the warranty period, contact AVA and obtain a Repair Authorization number. You will pay shipping cost to AVA.

This warranty does not cover any damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, shipment, neglect, tampering or other than ordinary household use. AVA reserves the right to determine if a failure is the result of the upgrade, or caused by other problems. This warranty excludes all incidental or consequential damages whatsoever arising out of the use or inability to use the product. Under no circumstances shall AVA’s liability, if any, exceed the purchase price paid for the upgrade. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose on this product is limited in duration to the duration of this warranty.

Repairing failures that were caused by any excluded conditions will be charged at a rate of $75 / hour, plus parts.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
